DEPARTMENT REGARDING GST REGISTRATION

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) is proposed to be introduced
soon to have
nation-wide uniformity rate and structures.
The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) which has been established to
provide IT Infra structure, services for supporting implementation and administration of GST in India have created the GST portal www.gst.gov.in.
The dealers of Tamil Nadu Commercial Taxes Department are in the process of
registering themselves in the GST portal. The registration in GST portal started from
4th January 2017.
The dealers are registering themselves by using the provisional ids
and password which is provided to them through email and through the portal
https://ctd.tn.gov.in. The registering
process was
temporarily suspended from
01/05/2017 to 31/05/2017 and will re-open from 1st June 2017. The dealer migration to
GST
Portal in view of the implementation
of
Goods and Services Tax throughout the
country is proposed to be closed on 15th June 2017.
The dealers have to register in GST Portal mandatorily with Digital Signature
Certificate (in case of Companies) or with e-Signature (Proprietor
/ Partnership) using the Aadhaar Number. But, most of the dealers who have already
completed the initial
signing and have not completed the registration with Digital Signature Certificate /
e-Signature.
Hence, all the dealers of Tamil Nadu are requested to register themselves
in the
GST
Portal with Digital Signature Certificate / e-Signature
immediately so that migration to GST will be seamless for them.
